Name:Ooty (Udhagamandalam) and is also known as the queeen of hill station.
Location:It is situated in the southern part of India and is the capital of Nilgiris
district.It lies at the altitude of 2,240m above sea level.
what is it?
It is a favourite tourist spot as well for the film producer who for their shots take this
place as a heaven.It used to be for the lovers as well as friends to have a perfect
vacation to spend.During the colonial era,the Britisher used to choose this spot as their
summer and weekend pass-time.This hill-resorts helps worried peoples to again regain their
affections towards the nature.The beauty of this hill-station combine with small train
journey that has a route through tea gardens,streams,deep bushes,sharp curve and dark tunnel
s add to nothing less than perfect scary yet an adventurous trip.
For the poet it is one of the best place to relax and write about what the nature has given
to us.There is also fabulous lake (man-made) to provide household as well as irrigational
waters but this has indeed increase the beauty of this spot.This lake was dig and made in
the supervision of the then collector of Coimbatore,Mr.John Sullivan in the year 1825.
For those who love trekking, this is a paradise for doing so. You can start from wherever you want it to and to whichever
direction you want to choose.It is combo of fear,affection on one side and excitement, adventurous and thrill on the
other-side.But if you choose to hire a taxi and a guide then u can even explore the Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary,botanical
garden,mini/rose garden and many more in less time.
